Dr. Sampadananda Mishra hails from Orissa in eastern India. After finishing his post-graduation in Sanskrit from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, he did his M.Phil in Sanskrit under the guidance of Prof. V. Kutumba Sastri in Pondicherry Central University and received the Gold Medal for his excellent performance.
He did his Ph.D. from Utkal University on Sanskrit and the Evolution of Human Speech. He is the Chief Coordinator, Sanskrit and Indian Culture, Sri Aurobindo Society, Pondicherry. Dr. Mishra also conducts workshops, teacher’s training programs, orientation courses, gives talks, presents papers in National and International seminars and conferences. He also writes popular articles related to India and Sanskrit in English, Oriya and Sanskrit and composes verses and songs. He conducts special workshops on authentic and effective chanting of mantras in Sanskrit.

Dr.Sampada Savardekar has been initiated into Sanskrit and Indian Culture from the moment she joined Sri Aurobindo International Center of Education in 1990.Having spent 12 years there as a student, she went on to complete her Master's in Sanskrit language and earned her Doctorate in Sanskrit from the Pondicherry University.She holds that Sanskrit language and Indian spirituality cannot be separated and are incomplete without one another.Apart from teaching spoken Sanskrit,she specialises in Sri Aurobindo's interpretation of the Bhagawad Gita.She is currently adjunct faculty of INDIRA GANDHI NATIONAL OPEN UNIVERSITY,New Delhi and facilitates an online course.She has also undergone rigorous training in Dance at the Sri Aurobindo Ashram and has performed in several places including France,Italy,Mauritius,Reunion and the U.S.A. In the future, she looks forward to spreading the Word of Sri Aurobindo, his Integral Yoga drawing attention to the practical aspect of his teachings.
